Montage Health launches vaccination clinic at Community Hospital
Share Montage Health launches vaccination clinic at Community Hospital on Facebook Share Montage Health launches vaccination clinic at Community Hospital on Twitter Share Montage Health launches vaccination clinic at Community Hospital on Linkedin Email Montage Health launches vaccination clinic at Community Hospital linkFrom Montage Health on February 4, 2021:
Montage Health is launching two COVID-19 vaccination clinic locations for the public —vaccine supply permitting. The clinics, one at Community Hospital in Monterey and the other at Montage Wellness Center in Marina, will have the capacity to vaccinate up to 7,500 community members each week. Vaccination appointments will be dependent on the supply received from the Monterey County Health Department each week.
The first two clinics — for those 75 and older and for healthcare workers in Phase 1a (tiers 1, 2, and 3) and who live or work in Monterey County — are full. No walk-ins will be accepted. The frequency of the vaccine clinics is subject to vaccine availability. Currently, vaccine supply commitments from the state to the county and the county to providers are only made once a week, so Montage Health will not be able to schedule clinics very far in advance.
We know it is frustrating — our hope is that we can get a consistent supply of vaccine to reliably and predictably run both our clinic locations full-time for the community. The populations served at the clinics will be determined by the Monterey County Health Department’s eligible phase(s) and tier(s), whether they focus on age groups, essential worker categories, or other criteria.
Please check our vaccine site often, as new clinics get added as vaccine becomes available. We hope to add more clinic dates later this week. The Monterey Public Health Department also lists vaccine clinic locations and appointments on its website.

Share State Public Health Officials Lift Regional Stay at Home Order for All Regions on Facebook Share State Public Health Officials Lift Regional Stay at Home Order for All Regions on Twitter Share State Public Health Officials Lift Regional Stay at Home Order for All Regions on Linkedin Email State Public Health Officials Lift Regional Stay at Home Order for All Regions linkOfficials with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) yesterday ended the Regional Stay at Home Order, lifting the order for all regions statewide, including the three regions that had still been under the order – San Joaquin Valley, Bay Area, and Southern California. Monterey is in the Bay Area Region.
This action allows all counties statewide to return to the rules and framework of the Blueprint for a Safer Economy and color-coded tiers that indicate which activities and businesses are open based on local case rates and test positivity. The majority of the counties are in the strictest, or purple tier. Tier updates are provided weekly on Tuesdays. According to Monterey County officials, the County is not planning restrictions beyond the State and activities such as outdoor dining, campground use, and youth sports (limited) may resume with restrictions.

Information for Those Aged 65 and Older Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine
Share Information for Those Aged 65 and Older Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine on Facebook Share Information for Those Aged 65 and Older Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine on Twitter Share Information for Those Aged 65 and Older Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine on Linkedin Email Information for Those Aged 65 and Older Regarding COVID-19 Vaccine linkFrom the Monterey County Health Department on 1/13/21:
Governor Newsom today announced that the state is prioritizing individuals 65 and older to receive the vaccine as demand subsides among health care workers. The Governor also said those in Phase 1A – health care workers and long-term care residents – remain the highest priority to receive vaccines. Demand for the vaccines continues to exceed supply.
Currently, Monterey County continues to vaccinate health care workers in Phase 1a Tiers 1,2 and 3. Vaccine remains in limited supply. Monterey County’s current inventory has been dedicated to the health care worker immunization clinics occurring this week.
When there is enough vaccine to expand vaccination options, Monterey County will share that information widely along with when and how those who are eligible can get vaccinated. The Monterey County Health Department has been working for the last few months preparing for this aspect of vaccine rollout, including making plans for mass vaccination clinics.
For those who are age 65 and older and are interested in getting vaccinated, the Monterey County Health Department is working in partnership with local health care providers to make vaccination opportunities available to you as soon as possible. Please continue to practice COVID-19 prevention measures such as staying home as much as possible, wearing a face covering, and practicing physical distancing.

Share Message from Community Hospital re: Vaccines on Facebook Share Message from Community Hospital re: Vaccines on Twitter Share Message from Community Hospital re: Vaccines on Linkedin Email Message from Community Hospital re: Vaccines linkMessage from Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula:Monterey County Health Department’s vaccine rollout is continuing and at this time is still directed only at healthcare workers. Unfortunately, counter to Monterey County instructions, links to make appointments have been shared widely in the community with people who don’t qualify at this time.If you made an appointment and are not a healthcare worker, Monterey County is directing you to cancel your appointment and wait for your tier and your turn. Everyone who arrives for an appointment will be required to show identification and proof of employment in healthcare. If you do not have proof, you should expect to be turned away.We know many people are eager to receive a vaccine, and everyone wants that to happen as soon as possible. We ask that you follow the process put in place by Monterey County, the state, and CDC out of respect for those most at risk.
