Board of Supervisors Sends Letter to Gov. Newsom on the Topic of Vaccines (especially for farmworkers) and Issues of Supply, Transparency and Equity

On January 28, 2021, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors sent a letter to California Governor Gavin Newsom outlining the Board’s requests related to vaccines (especially for farmworkers) and the larger issues of supply, transparency and equity.

The letter comes two days after the mayors of the cities of Carmel-by-the-Sea, Del Rey Oaks, Marina, Monterey, Pacific Grove, Salinas, Sand City, and Seaside affirmed their support for COIVD-19 testing and vaccinations for agricultural workers. The mayors signed a letter to the Monterey County Board of Supervisors on January 26, 2021.
