Message from Community Hospital re: Vaccines
Message from Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula:
Monterey County Health Department’s vaccine rollout is continuing and at this time is still directed only at healthcare workers. Unfortunately, counter to Monterey County instructions, links to make appointments have been shared widely in the community with people who don’t qualify at this time.
If you made an appointment and are not a healthcare worker, Monterey County is directing you to cancel your appointment and wait for your tier and your turn. Everyone who arrives for an appointment will be required to show identification and proof of employment in healthcare. If you do not have proof, you should expect to be turned away.
We know many people are eager to receive a vaccine, and everyone wants that to happen as soon as possible. We ask that you follow the process put in place by Monterey County, the state, and CDC out of respect for those most at risk.
