Council Adopts Flavored Tobacco Ordinance

The proposed flavored tobacco ordinance prohibiting the sale of flavored tobacco and flavored vape products was adopted during its final reading to Council on Tuesday, August 2nd. Once the ordinance goes into effect on September 1, 2022, tobacco retailers will have 180 days to remove their inventory before it becomes illegal to sell the banned products starting Tuesday, February 28, 2023.
