Council Adopts Flavored Tobacco Amendment

In its regular meeting on Tuesday, May 2, the City Council voted to adopt an update to Monterey's Flavored Tobacco ordinance in order to bring it into alignment with the California Health and Safety Code, Section 104559.5 after the statewide flavored tobacco ban was passed in November of 2022. The amended ordinance and staff agenda report can be found in the documents section. At this time, Monterey's flavored tobacco and single-use disposable smoking product ban is in full effect.
