Traffic Signal Switchover Scheduled for October 29th

Del Monte and Casa Verde Recreational Trail Intersection Improvement Project (NCIP, Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP), Measure X, Measure S) – On Wednesday, October 29, the contractor is scheduled to complete a signal switchover at Del Monte Avenue and Casa Verde Way. This work is to switchover to the new traffic signal poles as part of the intersection improvement project. The work is expected to start after 8:45 a.m. and last approximately 8 hours (6:00 p.m.). This work will likely take the full eight hours due to the size and complexity of the intersection, and the intersection will be dark while the switchover is occurring. The contractor will place traffic control at the intersection. The work is not done at night for the safety of the workers and public, as the traffic signal and most streetlighting will be fully dark. There will be major traffic impacts while the traffic signal is non-operational. Please expect delays and take alternate routes if possible.
