Previously Studied Alternatives

As part of the Casa Verde Way/ Rec Trail Crossing Study, several alternatives were studied including an underpass, overpass and at-grade crossing. The overpass and underpass alternatives per dismissed primarily due to cost, other concerns include flooding from storms, sea level rise, and additional maintenance cost from large structures. These alternatives were found to not be feasible and therefore not included in the grant funded project.
