How many people use the trail?

We all know that the Recreational Trail is popular with residents, commuters and visitors but just how many people use the trail? As part of the study prior to the project traffic counts were collected on the trail. Weekday Counts were collected Wednesday, October 5, 2016 from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. For the 9-hour weekday period, 305 pedestrians and 374 bicyclists used the trail crossing. Weekend Counts were collected on Saturday, October 22, 2016 from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. For the 4-hour weekend period, 330 pedestrians and 283 bicyclists used the trail crossing.
